Mamma’s gotta say - fruit is pretty incredible. A view you will have too after coming out of Tropical Fruit World. This place isn’t just a lesson on all the different and amazing varieties of tropical fruit, and their health benefits though - that is only part of the story.
The story of the three sisters comes from the Dreamtime story of the Bundjalung People. One sister became caught in a strong current, and then the other two were also swept away trying to save her. It was actually a warning for the tribes children not to head into this treacherous but beautiful water.
Mamma loves an all day one spot adventure destination, and Summerland House Farm definitely has enough to keep EVERYONE entertained - with mini golf, tractor rides, undercover playground, water play, restaurant and a nursery oh and a grocer too!

If there’s one thing you must do while you are hanging in Byron - it’s the walk to the lighthouse. This rite of passage is popular with locals and tourists alike. You can start your walk from Clarkes Beach and head through the Pass, or just start at Wategos - depending on how little those legs are!
This (worlds first) heritage solar train is so much fun, quick and easy. No need to book, just rock up at the station, pay the conductor and jump on! It takes about 10 minutes to get to North Beach station and along the way you get to see a different side of Byron zoom past.
A brand new nature play area - blending in with it’s natural surroundings, and all under the cool shade of the surrounding trees.
This is a fun playground filled with lots of rope climbing and imagination!
Run, jump, climb. Run, jump, climb. Repeat! That’s what Master 4 likes about this playground! And Mamma likes that there is delicious food and coffee right nearby!
Whales are such majestic creatures! And absolutely massive!! Mamma and Little Mister were lucky enough to have a fantastic day on the water with a small group of whales AND dolphins, while being looked after by Out of the Blue Adventures.
This is just the sweetest little adventure to have with your kids! If you pop into the Visitor Information Centre you can pick up a print out of the clues for finding the fairies, and then off you go!
The Farm in Byron Bay is just one of those places that your kids (and you) will want to go back to again and again. They have seriously divine food and coffee, a great playground, a gorgeous nursery, a local produce shop and freshly made ice cream - made on site!
Kids get the choice of climbing and hanging on the gymnastics bars; or scooting, skating and running around on the skate ramps; or playing in the playground. Choices, options and favourites! We love this newly installed playground.
With the sound of the beach floating through the trees and the warm sun on you, Mamma finds this to be a really nice playground to relax while the kids have a play. They can swing, climb, jump, slide and clamber all they need. And it is a nice easy playground for toddlers; with the ropes and climbing wall for older kids.
Beach-side picnicking while the kids burn off excess energy on the playground … perfect! Always popular, this playground is great for the little ones and the bigger kids.
Mamma's little man loves this park, there is so much to explore ... follow the stepping stones to the nest swing; find an old pump fountain for water play; sit upon the throne and stools for story time; or discover wildlife in the lake.
