the macadamia castle, knockrow

Mamma says you need AT LEAST half a day for this adventure and animal park! There is so much to see and do - bird shows, animal feedings, reptiles, so many animal pens, 2 playgrounds, mini golf, mini train ride ... and don't forget about the cafe and gift shop! Whilst there are no tours of macadamia plantations, you can buy the locally grown nuts in the gift shop to munch on as you wander through the park.

Little Mister thoroughly enjoyed feeding the kangaroos and emus, and the train ride, and going into the pens with the animals, and the mini golf ... safe to say he thoroughly enjoyed everything! All except leaving of course.

The big treehouse playground is certainly something else, and would have to be a firm favourite amongst the bigger kids! For the younger ones there is a large covered sandpit playground near the mini golf where they can have lots of fun too. And there are even a few swings dotted around the place also for when you just need a couple mins to chill between attractions. You can even book functions here! And there are special workshops for kids during school holidays.

Mamma's special mention: Take advantage of scheduling some downtime in the playgrounds or cafe during your visit - there is a lot to see and do (and walking), the little ones can become overwhelmed and worn out quickly.
