This has to be one of Mamma’s favourite beaches. Something about it feels a bit like old Byron. It’s away from the main drag and has lots of character, and is relatively ‘unpolished’ in the best way.
Ahhh Wategos. This Byron Bay beach is heaven. Mamma used to come here pre kids and (attempt) to surf the gentle waves. These days, the family love spending time here just as much as Mamma.
This hidden away sanctuary is abuzz with surfers, backpackers and holiday makers. You can see the Byron lighthouse from here as well as take a walk up to the nature reserve for some amazing views at the Three Sisters lookout.
