Ahhh Wategos. This beach is heaven. Mamma used to come here pre kids and (attempt) to surf the gentle waves. These days, the family love spending time here just as much as Mamma. It’s protected by the heads either side and shares the cove with the gorgeous Rae’s restaurant and hotel - and a few trillion dollar properties. Mamma loves seeing the backpackers cooking up their breakfast in front of their combi’s in the morning while all the joggers sashay past on the way to the lighthouse. Come at sunrise after visiting the lighthouse and see the sun peek around the heads or just set up your spot under the pandanus palms that line the beach and spend the day here. Stunning.

Mamma’s special mention: Raes sometimes have a coffee cart out front in the mornings on weekends or stop at The Pass Cafe for some breakfast just up the road.
