For a super tasty meal in a cute hidden away spot in the centre of Byron - Light Years Asian Diner is the place to come. The food is incredible - it is Asian Fusion, and mostly small plates designed to share.

Sneakily hidden between the industrial estate and town, Folk is at the entrance to the Discovery Park caravan park, and is a popular spot for coffee all day long. Mamma loves that these guys are organic, ethical and plant based .. perfectly Byron really!
Firstly, Mamma has got to say - the staff here are FANTASTIC. So friendly, nothing was an issue, and happy…which is sure to put a smile on your face! The food will also make you smile actually, AND they do kids sizes of almost all of the menu items
With a view of one of the most iconic buildings in the Byron Shire, and views overlooking the bay, it is worth a pit stop at the Cape Byron Lighthouse Cafe for a breather.
Mamma thinks this is one of the best places to get your early morning coffee or smoothie when you are doing the lighthouse sunrise walk … and it’s pretty darn good for lunch after a swim too!

This has to be Mamma’s favourite Vietnamese eatery within the Shire! The food is just so light, delicious and bursting with so much flavour! Such a beautiful energy in this place and tasty food.
Say ‘cheers’ when your favourites are a hot chocolate and kid’s avo on toast! But be prepared to have a bit of a decision to make choosing what you want to eat at Yum Yum’s… because it is all pretty “yum yum”!
Just up the hill from Clarkes Beach this cafe should be one of your go-to’s for something delicious to eat or drink after your swim.
On any typically gorgeous Byron day, it is perfect to sit outside in the sunshine at one of their recycled barrel tables. Or sit around one of the planter boxes and enjoy some coffee with your Vit D. PS try a focaccia if they have any left!
Doma Cafe in Federal is one of those delights you happen to stumble across on a lazy day while going for a drive.
These guys have a really nice menu to choose from, lots of deliciousness to fill the hungry bellies! Plus, this cafe surprised Mamma, from the bucket of chalk to the cute takeaway section (Leaf & Grain) next door.
OH NO! Mamma has just heard that Diner 55 has just closed down! But … they will be reopening soon as a new and improved venue. Good luck to the team there, and we will be waiting by the gates for the grand reopening!!
